Expect flow releases from Anderson Ranch Dam to begin to drop on Wednesday, September 3rd. Current flows of 1,850 cfs will drop to 1,000 cfs and will hold there until mid-September. After that they should drop again to 600. Then 300 in October.
WHEN WILL SOUTH FORK BOISE FLOWS DROP?
As of August 23rd flows from Anderson Ranch Dam are clipping along at 1,800 cfs. With a full Lucky Peak Reservoir and storage in Arrowrock still being drained, there’s a good chance that it will be time to throttle back on Anderson Ranch sometime around Labor Day.
South Fork Boise Sampling Casualty: 1971 VW Bus
South Fork Boise Sampling Casualty – On Friday the 11th the 1971 VW Bus that was bringing the measuring boards over had a fuel pump failure at the top of Anderson Ranch Dam. The car was towed back to Mountain Home but the measuring boards and posters were delivered to the Reclamation Village headquarters.
We’ll post updates from the sampling day when we receive information. For now, here’s the Friday story from the Idaho Statesman: http://www.idahostatesman.com/outdoors/story/439217.html.
